Miles Borrero is a transmasc, latinx senior yoga teacher, craniosacral therapist and author of yogic memoir, Beautiful Monster: A Becoming. Miles is an anatomy and philosophy aficionado who fuses a vast knowledge of the body, and classical technique with philosophy, ritual and contemporary science to deliver a wholehearted, life-changing experience. He is passionate about dismantling the learned systems within ourselves that keep us small and using the science of yoga to explore freedom and create inclusive spaces where difference and diversity come together as our super powers. His teachers include: Raghunath Capo, Margi Young, Ana Forrest, Schuyler Grant, Michael Stone, Alan Finger, Eric Shiffman, Maty Ezraty, Rusty Wells and Sean Johnson and The Wild Lotus Band. You can find Miles at St. Marks Yoga, online, and in teacher trainings or festivals across the US, as well as on online platforms such as Embodied Philosophy, Om Stars, Yoga Wakeup, Haus of Phoenix, Yoga Anytime and Yoga International. He has also taught over the years in some of NYC’s premier studios, including the Kula Yoga Project, Prema Yoga, Pure Yoga and Om Yoga.

Milard Roper’s journey through the realms of martial arts and Yoga spans over three decades, embodying a profound dedication to these ancient disciplines. With a rich tapestry of experience, He is humbled and honored to share this traditional knowledge he has learned from his teachers.

Over the past 30 plus years, his  exploration of martial arts and Yoga has been nothing short of transformative. From the early days of his practice to the present, he has delved deep into the intricate philosophies and physical techniques, immersing himself in the profound wisdom that is teachers so graciously offered.

In the last 12 years, Milard has taken his passion for Yoga to new heights, establishing three thriving Yoga studios. Through these sanctuaries of serenity, he has helped to mentor individuals on their own yogic journeys, guiding over 350 aspiring teachers towards their calling.

Central to this  evolution are his esteemed teachers, who have illuminated his path with their wisdom and guidance. Raghunath Cappo, Ana Forrest, Heidi Sormaz, Bhima Karma, Acyuta Gopi, Visvambhar Seth, Lama Tsultrim Allione and Gauravani, Chan Bong, Rich Korfage, Ralph Mitchell, Nardu Debra, and Louie Jack Man stand as pillars of inspiration, shaping his understanding of Yoga, Kirtan, and Martial traditions.

Currently, Milard is the visionary force behind the OM Namo Ji Center for Yogic Studies, a haven for holistic wellness located in Northport. Here, he integrates the healing arts of Japanese acupuncture, moxibustion, and Chinese herbs, offering a holistic approach to well-being. Additionally, he oversees OM Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, seamlessly blending the principles of martial arts with the tranquility of Yoga.

Leading teacher training programs reflects his profound sense of purpose, rooted in the ancient concept of dharma. Grateful for the teachings bestowed upon him, he cherishes his connections to the Forrest and Bhakti Yoga communities, as well as his martial arts lineage.
